Beach Front Retreat at Dolphin Sands

The Retreat is an establish property and is absolute beachfront with private access to Nine Mile Beach. You will be perfectly placed for day trips to Freycinet National Park and Wineglass Bay, Maria Island, Bicheno and Bay of Fires. Come and explore the whole of The East Coast of Tasmania from Swansea / Dolphin Sands the central hub of the East Coast. If you do intend bringing your dog, please give us the courtesy of letting us know and read the rules. The space The Retreat accommodation comprises 3 bedrooms 1 with queen bed, 2 with double beds, with an option of a sofa bed in the upstairs room. Quality linen and bath towels are provided (limited beach towels). The open plan living/dining area includes a Jetmaster open fireplace, digital flat screen TV, DVD/VCR player, Bluetooth sound system and internet TV. A selection of books, games, jigsaws and magazines. There is also free high speed wireless internet included with the house. The fitted kitchen is well appointed with electric cook top and oven and a wide range of electrical appliances including a microwave. There is a dishwasher in the kitchen and separate laundry and second toilet in the bunkhouse. There are a few things you should consider as you will be staying in a beach location: 1. The house is on 5 acres of beach land property and wild animals such as wallabies, bird and snakes (although rare) are in the area. We do try out best to keep insects out of the house but they also like to stay so it's not uncommon to have ants, flying bugs and spiders in the house. This is completely normal and we supply bug spray when they become excessive. 2. We try really hard to keep the house clean but please be aware you are staying in a home near the beach. This means sand comes into the house and it's great at finding little places to accumulate. We try our best but you will find sand in the house despite the regular cleaning. 3. Due to the location of the house it currently utilises bore and raid water. Whilst it is drinkable we do try to supply some cask drinking water on arrival. If you need additional cask water it can be purchased at the local store which is an easy 8 minute drive into Swansea. Guest access You can access all rooms and buildings on the property with the exception of the garage for safety reasons. Other things to note We have an EV charger for guest use at the property. This is provided on a fair use basis. The Beach House is dog friendly, if you are intending to come with your dog, we would expect you to notify us on booking, and following these very easy rules:. The rules for the house are: 1. NO more than two dogs permitted to stay at one time. 2. Dogs are allowed in the house, however NOT allowed on the furniture without you providing suitable blankets/covers to protect the furniture. 3. Dogs are NOT allowed on the beds unless you provide your own linen. 4. We would expect you to clean up the house and the yard after your dog. 5. All dogs must be completely house trained and out of the “chewing on everything” stage. 6. You must agree to be responsible for any damage caused by the pets (or people) during your stay. We respectfully ask that should you want to bring other pets, please ask in advance just confirm we are able to accommodate.
