UNI's PLACE, Balinese village life

UNI is my sister and she hosts the space in our parent's household. One bedroom apartment with a terrace overlooking the village's everyday life will give you the real taste of Balinese traditions, hardworking character and warmhearted hospitality. The space The apartment is located in our family compound and was therefore built and furnished paying as much attention to the details as possible. Every person we welcome in our house is a special guest who joins our family even if or a short period of time. Wooden furniture is used in most areas of the space with traditional Balinese wooden crafts. Please be aware that living in a Balinese village means you will have an opportunity to experience the true everyday life of Balinese people which involves getting up early, probably with the alarm of the neighborhood rooster and a dog greeting the passing people. Do not expect traffic noise or party people, but value the meaning of a smile you will receive from each house you will pass in the village and each greeting you will hear - we like our guests and consider our duty to meet and greet people with a smile on our face. Guest access UNI's PLACE is a one bedroom apartment with separate spacious bathroom and the outdoor kitchen located in a traditional Balinese family compound. Right on the west side of the entrance gate the small stairs will lead you up to your small private space. Your first steps will take you on a terrace which you might confuse with a real garden because of the blooming flowers and plants all over the place. A small temple rises from the greenery and, yes, you will not miss your private coconut tree with the yellow coconuts begging for a good photo capture. The room is furnished in typical Balinese style with wood crafted king size bed and the terrace view. Spacious bathroom is at your service as well. Kitchen area is located right at the entrance and will be equipped with all the necessary utensils so you can enjoy your fresh made juice in the morning or a nicely cooked meal in the evening. My family also lives in the compound, so you will witness the everyday offering ceremony, sense the aromas of the burning incenses and yes, my mother owns a small textile shop right downstairs and sometimes you will hear the heartbeat of the sewing machine as my mother also sews for the village people. Other things to note The world famous Om Ham Yoga retreat is minutes away as is the bustling art center of Ubud (8km). Do as much or as little of the myriad activities available.
