It's a ten minute walk to the beach alongside the historic Victorian Shanklin Chine. Rest assured we take these precautions seriously and the space will be deep cleaned before every new guest. The building is very close to the Old Village and located on High Street, which is one of two roads that comprise the largest retail area in the south of the Isle of Wight; significant for visitors and also as an amenity for residents. There are three flats total in the building, with a shop on street level--a former 19th century chemist shop belonging to W. T. Deeks, who's original tiles remain on the entrance steps. The flat you will be staying in is airy and comfy and features an open plan kitchen/dining/living room with a Downland view from the living room. It is furnished with handpicked artwork and unique collectibles. - The layout is perfect for friends or travelling couples, an artist or someone that wants to spend time in a cosy, relaxing, and creative space. - The bedroom features a double bed and there is a sofa bed in the living room. Our quiet study houses a work desk and board games. - The kitchen is equipped with everything you need to make your own breakfasts and dinners. - Pantry is always stocked with fresh coffee, teas, sugar, and biscuits. Guest access You will have access to the entire flat. There is a communal building entrance hall and stairs (shared with one other flat) leading to the front door. The building's main front door has a security intercom system. Other things to note TV is currently only set up for music / entertainment (bluetooth) & smart tv usage with your own log in. We do not offer terrestrial tv channels at this moment.
