Acorn Cottage, part of Sea Salt Boutique Cottages, is not your typical Airbnb. We are a family-run business, more like a Bed & Breakfast, but with the privacy of your own home. Our love and care for the cottage, morning Maine Blueberry muffins, fresh flowers from our garden, luxury linens, Ammi’s artwork, and outstanding hosting make this stay special. Ammi and Kevin have curated a beautiful, comfortable experience. This 1903 Victorian has been updated with modern amenities while preserving its nostalgic New England charm. The first floor features a fully renovated kitchen with an electric stove, full-size fridge, pantry, and all necessary cookware. We provide coffee, teas, milk, and butter to get you started, plus freshly baked Maine blueberry muffins to greet you in the morning. The living room, adjacent to the kitchen, is furnished with a Pottery Barn couch, two chairs, internet TV, and excellent WiFi. A small sitting room next to the living room offers French antique chairs, small table and a beach pebble stone fireplace. There’s also a convenient washer and dryer tucked away in a closet. The second floor has three private bedrooms, each with a queen memory foam mattress, luxury bedding, and a restful atmosphere. One bedroom has an en-suite powder half bath, while the large full bathroom with a tub and shower is located nearby. Outside, enjoy the private patio with a table and chairs, overlooking a large yard and flower gardens. The neighboring tiny church art studio adds to the picturesque backdrop. Wiscasset sits along the Sheepscott River, the deepest river north of Boston. In the late 1800s, it was revered as a prominent maritime capital. Much of the town remains untouched by modern life, and visitors can enjoy the "Museum in the Streets" walking tour to learn about the rich history this charming town offers. Today, Wiscasset exudes picturesque, quaint New England charm, offering a slower pace of life—a true summer haven. Guest access Guests have their own driveway with free parking.
