Homey cottage in lush garden

A spacious and private cottage with open plan living, lots of natural light, its own deck and outside area, shared pool, and plenty of bird life on over 1 acre of trees and greenery. Located on a quiet cul de sac, the property has great ocean and mountain views (greenery view only from cottage). The space This lovely cottage has the feel of a farmhouse, natural wood floors, high ceilings, railroad sleeper window and door lintels, and a blend of beautiful antique Cape Farm wood furniture, comfy and cozy lounge pieces, and modern touches. It's a calm, relaxing, and private space perfect for a getaway or a family holiday. The cottage sleeps 4 in 2 bedrooms (double bed in one and two single beds in the other) with views to greenery and the back of Table Mountain. The bathroom has a double shower and tub for soaking in. The kitchen is fully equipped with a gas burning stove and electric oven, cutlery and crockery for 6 (in case you have friends for a meal), and an assortment of other kitchen tools you might need. There are some beach towels if you want to head to the sea (Hout Bay and Llandudno beaches are under 10 min away), and extra blankets and a heater if you come during a cold spell. There is free wifi and some games and books for lazy entertainment. There's also a washing machine and outdoor drying rack for your use. The cottage has a private front deck with comfy outside couches/chairs, a picnic table for 4, a BBQ/braai, and a small lawn area. Further up the driveway on the property are more gardens, another cottage and house, a shared pool area which you are welcome to use, and access to a somewhat rugged "public open space" (our property is the only one with access) with a stream, and indigenous vegetation that we are rehabilitating. The additional cottage houses a single long term tenant and 2 cats and we (2 adults, 2 kids, 1 dog) are in the house. It's all very private and you will likely not even notice that anyone else is around (though we're happy to answer any questions or chat). Guest access You're free to roam the property including the various gardens, the pool, and the stream area. The dog and cats spend the day wandering the property. Other things to note The pool on the property is located near trees that, when windy, shed many leaves into the pool. There is a small grass patch next to the cottage. Down some steep stairs is a very shaded area with a tree and some plants. It is not a lush area though. The stream area is fairly rocky/uneven; watch your step if you wander down there. Our dog is friendly though she may bark at you if you sneak up and is protective of our front deck area.
