Our vacation home is located on the wonderful high plateau Wirzweli in the Nidwalden mountains with stunning views. In winter you can go sledding and snowshoeing in the small Wirzweli, if it is snowing. Hiking is possible in summer and autumn. My place is good for couples, families (with children) and groups of up to 12 people. In the house there is Internet and DVD. In the snow-free period, access to the house is possible, but not in winter. The space Our vacation home is located on the wonderful high plateau Wirzweli in the Nidwalden mountains with stunning views. In winter you can go skiing and snowshoeing in the small ski resort of Wirzweli. Hiking is possible in summer and autumn. Guest access In spring, summer and autumn you can drive directly to the house. In winter, access is not possible. You have to park the car at the valley station (redeem parking ticket) and take the cable car up. From there you can have your luggage transported to the house by snow taxi (25.00). ARRIVAL BY CAR During the winter months, you can only drive to Wirzweli with a permit from the police. Call the Nidwalden cantonal police and apply for a permit. Work is currently underway on the road from Dallenwil to Wirzweli. Thus, the road is only passable early in the morning, over noon 12-1 pm and after 5:30 pm. During the closing times, the road can be taken via Kerns / Ächerlipass. Attention, the roads leading to Wirzweli are curvy and narrow. Other things to note There is no way to buy food on Wirzweli. The nearest shopping facility is in Dallenwil. You can eat in the various restaurants. During the winter season, a small grocery store is open on Wirzweli.
