Description
Situated in an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in the centre of cider county, this makes an ideal base to explore the area. It's a beautiful self-contained apartment, with all the comforts of home. We provide a basket of delectables for breakfast. The space The Green Room is part of an ancient complex of farm buildings of Court Farm, situated on the eastern slope of the Woolhope Dome Site of Special Scientific Interest, itself part of the Wye Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It is a high quality upgrade of the hop kilns, known as oast houses in other parts of the country, with views over the adjacent ancient apple orchards to May Hill and the Marcle Ridge. The Hereford Way public foot path runs across the fields of the farm, just a few hundred yards away. The thatched Grade II* listed Cruck Barn, recently repaired back to its 1503 specification, is situated just across the pond, visible from the master bedroom. We have tried to maintain the character of the building, with the shape of the hop kilns still visible, and the layout still true to its agricultural origins. The Green Stage, where hops were stacked ready for drying, is accessible from the living space as a balcony area. Guest access You will have full use of the private accommodation and balcony, away from the main house, and are welcome to enjoy the garden and fields (by prior arrangement). There is a large unfenced pond and we do have some livestock, so whilst we welcome well-behaved dogs, please check first. Other things to note Access to The Green Room is up a wooden exterior staircase, so unfortunately not convenient for disabled access.
