Fairview Cottage is situated on the beautiful North Antrim coast of Ireland. Overlooking the Salthouse Hotel and town of Ballycastle, with uninterrupted views of Fairhead and the isle of Rathlin. Perfect for a couple or family with children. An ideal base to explore the nearby Giants Causeway, Dunluce Castle and Bushmills Distillery, and close to the Game of Thrones, Dark Hedges and Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge. Golf is only a short drive to Royal Portrush, or Ballycastle's own 18 hole course. The space The Undercroft at Fairview Cottage is the lower ground self contained apartment within this two-storey cottage, (Tourist Board Registered) and is set amongst woodland trees at the foot of Knocklayde Forest. The spacious ground-floor apartment has a open plan living and dining area with modern décor with uninterrupted views across to Rathlin Island and Fairhead. The lounge and dining area includes full kitchen, casual seating, cosy underfloor (air source) heating, smart television and WIFI fibre-optic broadband internet access (throughout cottage). Fully equipped kitchen with fridge freezer, microwave, electric oven, cooker and washing/drying machine Iron and ironing board. Separate downstairs utility room and drying closet with w/c and storage for outdoor equipment. A master bedroom and en-suite can be configured as a double or twin room. The second family room has one king double, a single bed and cot, directly adjacent to the main bathroom and shower. The second-floor is my own private apartment accessed at the front primary entrance to the Cottage. “The Undercroft” has a separate private access to the rear and sliding door access to the patio and the garden in “the Glen”. The Undercroft at Fairview Cottage has its own covered patio and self-contained Barbeque and outdoor seating area. The Cottage is adjacent to Salthouse Hotel, Fairview House and Salthouse Eco Lodges. Guest access The cottage is accessed via a private lane, with parking to rear of the cottage. Additional secure parking can be arranged on request. Electric Vehicle charging is available on site. Other things to note E-bikes for hire on site (Helmets & waterproofs supplied): £15 for 4hrs. £25 for 8hrs 100% renewable (wind and solar) supply. Ask within your enquiry to advance book. Minimum Stay 3 nights The Cottage is ideal for nature walks, with wild running dear, foxes and ducks frequent visitors to the surroundings. A swing amongst the trees in the glen, overlooking the pond with a view towards Fairhead is also available for use. Whilst located on the grounds between the Salthouse Hotel and their Eco Lodges, the Undercroft at Fairview Cottage is a separate enterprise. You can however book separately to enjoy their restaurants, bar and spa facilities during your stay.
