A big apartment consisting of a kitchen and dining room at the entrance; from here you climb to the upper floor where there is a livingroom with sofa and two armchairs, a TV equipped with a DVD player. From the living room a corridor leads to a first double bedroom with private bathroom, followed by a small hallway serving two other double bedrooms with a common bathroom. The space The Ecological Farmhouse is a space where guests can live an experience surrounded by nature and in close contact with their hosts in a family-like atmosphere. With the products of their farm Marco and Adriana produce an extraordinary olive oil and sauces (sun dried tomatoes, artichokes, basil pesto, green and black olive paste, aubergine, etc.) to use for pasta and crostini/bruschetta, mustards and marmelades. Seasonal vegetables from the garden (in particular our large assortment of ancient varieties of tomators) and eggs from our hens. We also have an assortment of excellent wines from local organic farms available in our farm shop ( togheter with honey, pasta, saffron, etc.). Upon request we can serve dinner and breakfast with 90% organic menù, based on our farm products and other local farmers. We can also offer intensive workshops in gardening and natural/tuscan cooking classes. The Ecological Farmhouse "I Vecchi Lecci" (Old oaks) was born from the restoration of an old barn, surrounded by centuryes-old oaks, at the organic farm of Poggio alle Fonti (original name), a beautiful 14-hectare farm in the hills near San Gimignano, UNESCO World Cultural and Natural Heritage City. Guest access Guests may access the common outdoor areas of the garden, consisting of two gazebos and the "Acacia Woods". Other things to note The I Vecchi Lecci farmhouse is located 7 km from San Gimignano, in the middle of nature surrounded by woods and fields, quiet and peaceful, great for relaxing and letting yourself be lulled by the sounds of nature, far from the bustle of the city. An excellent starting point for nature walks on the hills, from which we can admire unique landscapes. This location is strategic for taking easy visits to both natural landscapes and the cities of art like Florence, Siena, and Volterra. In less than an hour's drive you can reach the sea in Cecina.
