The Gatehouse at Mirimiri is a hand-built limestone cottage set on a 10-hectare property on the edge of Wentworth Falls. It is situated at the end of a quiet, dead-end road adjoining the beautiful World Heritage National Park. The cottage is warm and welcoming, with a rustic charm, and the modern amenities ensure a comfortable stay. The space The Gatehouse has been constructed using natural building materials, mostly recycled and reclaimed, and boasts many sustainability features such as solar power and water recycling for the garden. The cottage is set across the garden from the main house but it is fully self-contained with a carport attached. The access is level with no steep steps or obstacles. Amenities include a modern kitchen with induction cook-top, TV, internet and there is a great collection of books, games, and DVDs for your entertainment. The cottage can accommodate 3 people but is best suited to two. There is a double bed in the bedroom and in the living area there is a single bed. The north-facing verandah is perfect for enjoying the day's sunshine or relaxing at sunset. There is a barbeque for guests' use. We are a short drive from all the best bush walks, cafes and attractions the Blue Mountains has to offer with Katoomba being only 6 kms away and Leura 4 kms. The Gatehouse is perfect for a quiet, relaxing getaway. Guest access We are at the end of a quiet, dead end section of dirt road, which is easily accessible by car or there is a bus that runs past the top of the road - 200m away. We are under 2km from the Wentworth Falls train station and shopping centre Leura 4 kms Katoomba 6 kms There is a large supermarket and liquor shop in Leura and a couple of smaller supermarkets and bottle shops in Wentworth Falls.
