An Eco-friendly Home for Nature lovers

A community-based Homestay in the woods. There are 3mudrooms on the 2nd floor with attached washrooms, and one triple room on the ground floor with sharing washroom. You can go for jungle hikes, watch birds & butterflies of Pawalgarh or cycle around in the forest adjacent to our home. You can go on a Jungle Safari. Enjoy bonfire on winter nights. Gaze at the stars on the terrace. We serve the perfect meal: Fresh seasonal meal from our home kitchen. We grow most of our food. :) The space You’ll stay with us, in a beautiful organic farm that’s spread over 6 acres in Pawalgarh, in the Kumaon region of Uttarakhand. The family which manages the Homestay and everyday farm activities stays here. We’ve a two-room mudhouse with 3 beds in each, and a room with three beds. We also have a concept-based, open resto-café where you can read, work and have fun. You’ll stay near the forest, amidst mango, gooseberry and bamboo trees. You’ll see 150 species of birds and 50 species of butterflies here. Guest access You’ll stay in a mudhouse, or a triple-sharing room. You are welcome to work, play or read in our café. You can read the books in our little library. You can walk around in our farm, or the nearby forest. If you’d like to, you can cook in the kitchen, and have your meals in the common area attached to the dorm. The baths and washrooms are attached in all our double rooms. We also have a bonfire space set-up for music gatherings in the winter sun or under the stars. During your stay The owners, Manohar uncle and Basanti aunty, and I closely interact with the guests. Their son Vikki is a naturalist and a state guide who knows every nook and corner of this neighborhood. If you're up to it, we’ll take you on bird and butterfly watching activities. We’ll cook organic food from the farm for you. And when it’s too cold, we’ll make bonfire. We’d like to have many all the artists under one roof.
