Sunny 'Blue Swimmer Cottage' holiday house delight

Nestled in the peaceful hamlet of Summerland Point we offer a unique & comfy holiday home. Stylish with thoughtful touches, there is also an edible organic garden that guests are welcome to share. Stroll to village shops & 1 minute more to the lake's edge. Swim or catch a fish at Sandy Beach, picnic at Boat Harbour. Iconic beaches are a short drive away, bush walk through State Conservation areas or stay in by the fire. A great base to explore the Central Coast, Newcastle & Hunter Valley. The space Relax & unwind at Blue Swimmer Cottage, a freshly refurbished 3 bedroom single story holiday home. Blue Swimmer Cottage started out as 1 bed holiday house my parents built for our family of 5, back in 1970 and it grew from there. Over the last 50+ years we have made some of the best memories of our lives here and we love that we are able to share it with you so that you can make some too. An interior palette of whites, sea mist blues, warm timbers, lush indoor plants and colourful, quirky wall art (with a sprinkling of nostalgia) set the scene to help you get in the mood for your well earned coastal retreat. We offer our guests a well stocked kitchen with Delonghi Nespresso coffee pod machine and milk frother, a well appointed dining area & a comfy lounge area with Smart TV. Cosy up by the fireplace on those chilly nights or switch on the air conditioner when the weather warms up, your comfort is important to us. We have books, boardgames & jigsaw puzzles for some old school fun too. Our beds, mattresses & linens are of a high quality, with your comfort in mind. The bathroom has 2 shower heads, the laundry a washing machine & dryer. Outside there is a choice of outdoor areas to enjoy; the covered entertaining area by the pond, with gas BBQ, table & seating for 6 is great for day or night. The other ‘outdoor’ area is the large semi-enclosed deck; with comfy ‘L’ shaped lounge to chill with a book or grab a board game, a dining table with seating for 4 & the outdoor breakfast bar where the birds will fly down to say a friendly hello. There is a grassed area in the front of the property with garden all around, uniquely it’s an edible vegetable garden with 20+ fruit trees on the property. Blue Swimmer Cottage's garden featured in the Central Coast Edible Garden Trail 2022 & 2023; we were very honoured to be a part of this magnificent event! Out the back is a large clothesline, small shed for your use, a single vehicle carport & a small grassed area. Due to the single bathroom & 1 wc we recommend a maximum of 4 guests. An additional maximum of 2 guests are able to book at a cost of $120 per night per guest. Although we are animal lovers the house is strictly no pets allowed, as some of our immediate family members suffer with quite severe allergies. The house, outdoor areas and yard are strictly NO Smoking meaning; no smoking anywhere on the property. Please refer to our house rules. We ask you do not book our cottage if these restrictions are problematic for you. There are some other lovely holiday rentals in the area which do allow one or both smoking & pets. We also have an productive beehive on the property. Guest access The property has a large sliding gate to the carport and a small side gate. The large gate will be open and ready for your arrival. You will be able to drive straight in and unpack with ease. Please do not park on the concrete driveway (off Anembo Ave) as this is not part of the Airbnb rental and must remain clear at all times.
