Was on the Flagstaff Symphony home tour in 2023. * Located near the top of what was once called Nob Hill, just a few hundred yards from all the action of historic downtown Flagstaff, the home has unusually large and spacious rooms for it's day, the rooms and bedrooms are what they call "mansion sized", about 4x the size of similar rooms in those days, even large by today's standards. * With over one million dollars invested in the Babbitt House in less than 10 years, we will continue to improve until we've achieved perfection! * Home has an indoor wood-burning fireplace and outdoor gas fireplace, and is well-insulated with all-new Andersen dual-pane windows... it will never feel drafty or cold, and you won't hear trains going by - something that is common with a lot of other homes in Flagstaff. * The "ballroom" with the giant $100K crystal ball chandelier is a great place for up to 6 people to sit and play games or work on puzzles... there are a lot of games and puzzles to choose from. * Award-winning Japanese-style stroll gardens which include a relaxation area surrounded by herb, fruit, vegetable and flower gardens; a Colorado Plateau zone with a dining area encircled by aspen trees with a high-end Weber Genesis barbecue grill; a pine forest zone and an alpine meadow zone with Japanese Red Dragon Maple Trees and Cherry Blossom Trees. You won't want to leave this yard, trust us! * Tesla 50 amp destination charger. If you're traveling with your Tesla you can charge while parked here... or there are two superchargers nearby. Guest access You will be able to access all areas of the property, and after I meet you and give you a tour I will leave until you check out so that you can enjoy the property as if it were your home. NOTE: this is a lived-in home... I will still have my clothes in closets, but you will have space to hang your clothing. I will still have personal items in bathrooms and other areas, and just ask for respect and consideration... I think that you'll find your experience at this property will be truly memorable and special. I must add that while almost every area of the home has been fully renovated, the bathrooms and kitchen are still fairly original - but appointed with modern appliances and conveniences such as Japanese Toto toilets... this has never been a complaint of previous guests, and one day they will be fully renovated. You'll have all the spices, ingredients, teas, coffees - and more - to use. If you use something in the fridge or pantry or cupboards perhaps consider leaving something. Always makes for a fun experience. Other things to note This property is *not* priced to compete with other airbnb listings in Flagstaff... and yes, I actually do book at these rates. My guest profile is those who understand that this property is about the same price as 4 guest rooms at a 4-star hotel elsewhere, and is actually far less than 4 guest rooms at higher-end properties in Sedona, and also far less expensive than Amangiri which is located about 2 hours north of us - in fact, a lot of my guests are on their way to/from Amangiri. I maintained their privacy and will maintain yours. This is my personal home... I have it listed on this site to share with others when I'm not using the home as I want to make sure that visitors continue to support local businesses, which creates jobs, which provides income for individuals working at those businesses, which also helps to contribute to sales tax revenues, etc., etc. It's a win-win-win for everyone. I regularly only use one bedroom of the entire home. No pets allowed... the walls in the gardens are short, and nearly every night deer walk by, raccoons visit, etc. Perhaps on a rare occasion, so ask first - but large dogs will typically be denied. Children must be attended to and extremely well-behaved... a few of the paintings in my collection run from the floor to the ceiling, and are valued in the upper 5-figures. I'm always watching visiting children to make sure they don't touch the paintings. I'm here to create a truly memorable experience for you and your friends and/or family. I owned and operated a 4-star boutique hotel for 15 years have owned 25 homes (at one time) and have hosted over thousands of VIP guests including musicians, politicians, corporate big-wigs, actors, members of royal families, etc., etc... I have arranged for private chefs, can bring in private yoga/fitness/breathwork/meditation experts, have accommodated security details, and I am always willing to go the extra mile to make sure that you enjoy your stay.
