Farr House is a self-catering converted Victorian chapel and tenant's hall that sleeps up to sixteen guests. Recently renovated in 2016, the house retains it's historical feel whilst offering modern comforts that include underfloor heating, en-suite bedrooms, HD TVs, and super fast broadband. Positioned in ancient woodland below wild moorland, Farr House feels perfectly secluded though is only a convenient 20-minute drive from Inverness. A perfect Highland get away for parties of all sizes. The space Farr house is a bright, spacious and luxurious property. This unique house combines many of it's original features with a modern interior design, adding style and comfort to your Highland stay. All of the eight bedrooms are en-suite, four with showers only and five with baths and showers. The two master bedrooms, one with a king-sized bed and the other with a super-king sized, also have flat screen TVs with Freeview. Farr House is a self-catering property. The kitchen is very well equipped to cater for large parties - with both an AGA and electric cooking stove, three dishwashers, hot water taps, and all modern cooking utensils. We will leave teas, coffee, oils, salt, pepper, and various other essentials for your use but please do bring your own groceries with you (there are many 24hr supermarkets in Inverness). The library, sitting room and dining room form the main part of the house and are also the oldest, the structures being what was once the chapel and tenant's hall. These rooms are spacious, comfortable, and ideal for hosting, with open fireplaces and original family portraits in each of the rooms. For those seeking woodland walks, outdoor swimming in Farr loch, sporting activities, or simply a base from which to explore Northern Scotland, Farr House is perfectly positioned. You are very welcome to bring pets with you, and we can provide dog bowls and cages if you need them. Guest access Guests have access to the estate's private tennis court and wild swimming in Farr Loch, which is just a five-minute walk away. Other things to note It is important to note that mobile signal is incredibly limited around Farr House. However, there is a landline and unlimited wifi.
