Charming Worcestershire garden cottage

Hen House is a really special place to stay, a charming garden cottage in beautiful countryside. It’s a refurbishment of part of the old stables and a perfect spot to get away from it all! With its own gorgeous, exclusive little cinema. It's surrounded by 9 acres of picturesque gardens, meadows, woodland and a babbling brook - in beautiful countryside on the Worcestershire / Shropshire border, a few miles from historic Ludlow and the riverside town of Tenbury Wells. The space Hen House is a refurbishment of part of the old stables and granary at Brook Farm. A perfect spot to relax and get away from it all! It has a spacious open plan layout – and is all on one level – with: Kitchen and dining area – well-equipped kitchen (with dishwasher, fridge freezer and electric cooker), farmhouse dining table. A washing machine and tumble dryer are available in the Store Room next to Hen House. Living area – comfy sofa, armchair, throws, Smart TV and DVD player. Bedroom – with king-size bed. Bathroom / dressing room – with full-size bath, shower Cinema - the granary above Hen House has been converted into a cinema, with comfy sofas, streaming services, big screen and great surround sound (your own cinema for your entire stay!) There's central heating .... and we also provide linen and towels. Hen House also has a lovely private, enclosed garden, with a barbecue and outdoor log-burner (for when it gets chilly later in the evening) and tables/chairs. Parking is about 45 metres (along a gravel path) from the cottage. Beyond that, it’s surrounded by nine acres of beautiful gardens, meadow and woodland. Find a lovely spot to sit and watch the sun set, read, listen to the birds or just be...! And it's the perfect spot for doggie guests too! Guest access Hen House has its own private, enclosed garden - with outdoor seating/ dining, an outdoor log-burner and barbecue. Guests can enjoy the surrounding nine acres of gardens, meadows, woodland...and the brook. Perfect for early morning dog walks - or relaxing with a drink in the evening Parking is off-road and about 45m from the cottage. The washing machine and dryer are in the Store Room next to the cottage (and shared with our other holiday cottage) Other things to note We welcome dogs at no extra charge. It's the perfect spot for a doggie holiday. We welcome them with a blanket, dog towels, bowls and a few treats! Hen House is ideal for marking a special occasion or milestone. We’re delighted to help guests make their stay even more special. Delicious home-made preserves and apple juice (made using fruit grown at Brook Farm) are available for guests to purchase (Stephen is an award-winning preserver) Our accommodation has won Best Self Catering accommodation at the 2018 Visit Worcestershire Awards and been a finalist in the 2019 UK Staycation Awards and 2021 Visit Worcestershire Tourism Awards.
