Cottage@45A is situated on a pretty plane-tree framed road in Parktown North. You will be warmly welcomed to this fully-furnished, self-contained unit with its three rooms , separate entrance and private living area. Parktown Quarter shopping centre is an easy walk around the corner where you can grab a cappuccino, shop at the Woolworths Food, or have a vibey dinner at one of several top-rated restaurants. The cottage is close to the Rosebank Mall and Rosebank Gautrain station. ( 1.5 -2 KM) The space Power Outages , loadshedding has reduced of late ,however we are also affected by sporadic water outages. To makes your stay as comfortable as possible we have measures in place to circumvent these unforeseen and uncontrollable circumstances. Solar Lighting with its own dedicated 100 Watt back up battery, is permanently installed in each room. An inverter powering the , intercom, and a dedicated power point gives up to four hours back up in Load shedding. Internet is backed up for 6 hours 2025 and 2024 bookings have proved that the space is work friendly and most of our stays have been longer than 2 weeks at a time. Northern Hemisphere students coming to Johannesburg for Internships from May to September find the Cottage great as it is a definite home away from home. Not only is the Cottage comfortable and secure (24hr security-patrolled street) but it is also conveniently located. Parktown Quarter Shopping centre is an easy walk around the corner. Sandton , Johannesburg CBD and the M1 Highway are easily accessible The cottage is situated separately to the main residence and offers an +- 65m2 space with its own lounge / dining and work area, including 75 Meg WIFI Fibre signal and a Samsung Smart TV with DSTV Access. A BOSCH GAS heater is available for guests use in the Lounge / work area. In winter we adopt a fair usage experience with Gas Consumption and supply one full 9KG Gas that should last 3 weeks. If in the unlikely situation that a guest exceeds the fair usage of Gas Heating we could request additional payment for this service. The fully equipped kitchenette opens onto a private, sunlit courtyard area. It includes a standard fridge, microwave oven, kettle, toaster and 4-plate GAS stove. The bathroom is clean, uncluttered and fitted with a toilet, shower and basin. Bathroom towels, toilet paper, soap, shampoo and a hair dryer are provided. The cozy bedroom has been tastefully decorated and includes a double bed and Electric Blanket for winter with sufficient cupboard space for longer-term visitors. This room can be locked should you feel additional security is necessary. A safe Oil Heater is provided in the bedroom in winter for additional comfort. Guest access You will have access to the entire unit and enclosed outdoor courtyard area, with your own safe, off-street parking space. A designated smoking area with an ashtray is available if required. Please note that our top drive Way gate is automated , however the bottom gates are manualy operated and locked at night. Guests have keys for this gate and the Top Gate. We work around this slight inconvenience when we have guests with there own transport. Other things to note Laundry/Ironing: Washing and Ironing of your dirty clothing can be done at R 190.00 per domestic load if required by long term guests by prior arrangement and availability. Subject to Change. An additional cleaning fee could be levied if the cottage is required to be cleaned more often. The newly introduced Gautrain Midi-Bus Service runs from Rosebank Gautrain Station to vibey Parkhurst 4 Th Street and back via Park Town North with a Bus stop within safe walking distance from Cottage@45A.
