We have private guest accommodation available to you. We live in a beautiful rural setting at the base of the Ruahine Ranges and our home offers stunning views to these mountains. We are close to the track to Sunrise Hut. We have a small working sheep farm. This accommodation is detached from the house. Join Hugh or Shelley for a cup of tea or fancy coffee and baking on arrival and a full breakfast the next morning. We look forward to hosting you. The space We are situated in a quiet rural location, offering our guests easy access to the Ruahine mountains for those keen on tramping and hunting. Monckton's Scenic Reserve is less than a kilometre away and A'Deanes Bush is just a 5 minute drive away. The drive to the track to Sunrise Hut is about 40 minutes. Hugh is an avid trout fisherman and happy to talk fishing and advise on local rivers for anyone keen on fishing. Hugh's other hobby is golf and he is happy to talk about this too! Guest access Full access to our gardens, including our beautiful circular rhododendron garden. Petanque piste and balls to play with. Just out door from the bathroom is an outdoor table and chairs for your use or there are scattered tables and chairs in the garden also. Access to the main lounge with a large open fire in winter. We have a sandpit, large play house and ride on toys available for children to play with. We also have a porta-cot and high chair available on request. Pets are negotiable. During your stay Hugh and/or Shelley will meet you on arrival and share a cup of tea or coffee with you and see you in the morning to serve a full cooked breakfast. Hugh has a taste for high-end coffee and will be able to offer you a latte or moccacino to have with your breakfast. Other things to note The nearest towns for meals are Waipukurau or Dannevirke. These are 20/30 minutes from our place. We are prepared to offer an evening meal if this is more convenient to you. There is a cost for this of $40.00 per person, cash only. Let us know if you do have any dietary requirements. We do have a washing machine and dryer available for a charge of $5.00 per load per machine.
