Old Rectory Annexe
Old Rectory Annexe
Description
The Annexe at the Old Rectory is a thoroughly modern addition to an Edwardian country home. Situated on the edge of the village of Exbourne, the Annexe is midway between moor and sea as well as being within a mile of the mid-point of the Devon coast-to-coast cycle way, Route 27. The Annexe is entirely self-contained with its own shower-room and kitchenette. Underfloor heating makes it a perfect retreat in even the coldest months. Ample parking - guests are also free to enjoy the garden. The space The Annexe is a generous open-plan space covering approximately 60 square metres, split equally between living and sleeping areas. Design is contemporary and uncluttered but still comfortable and easy on the eye. As an entirely newly built addition to the main house, it benefits from great insulation, an abundance of natural light and modern comforts such as underfloor heating. The kitchenette is ample for breakfasting and preparing light meals (there is an abundance of good pub food locally for more substantial meals). Cyclists are very welcome - there is plenty of secure storage for bikes and, subject to owner being at home, a well-equipped bike workshop for running repairs. Guest access The Annexe is a self-contained addition to the main house with its own entrance - there is plenty of parking and secure bike storage. The Old Rectory sits in mature gardens covering approximately half an acre - guests are welcome to use this space. Other things to note The main house, the Old Rectory, will be occupied during periods when the Annexe with will available to AirBnB guests. Whilst certainly not a noisy household, please understand that guests may still hear the sounds of distance kitchen activity and the opening of garage doors. Two rather elderly but friendly dogs live on site.
