Trullo Fico is an ancient stone Trullo, for rent, with three bedrooms and a private pool. This stylish and well-equipped villa sleeps 8/9 and is in the heart of Puglia’s Valle D’Itria between the beautiful baroque towns of Ostuni and Ceglie Messapica. Set in three acres of private land, Trullo Fico enjoys uninterrupted views of fields filled with fig, almond, peach and olive trees. The space Six miles from the sea, at the end of a little dirt road, hidden amongst olive groves but not hard to find, is a thrilling surprise: a pair of iron gates open to reveal an enchanting, three-coned, 17th-century trullo. It is a fashionista's delight and a paradise for children, with acres of meadows to explore, gardens dotted with lemon and almond trees and huge cacti, clementines, figs and peaches to pluck, a trampoline in the middle of an olive grove, and a lavish, refreshing, unheated pool. Inside, to a backdrop of whitewash, colour and exposed stone, bright retro pieces, along with quirky art, snazzy brown sofas and books in rustic alcoves… here a fuchsia cushion, there a blue glass lamp.
