Group accommodation in Provence

Wild, secluded and with spectacular scenery, Alauzon is a collection of four rental properties plus our home on 12 hectares of land surrounded by hills and forests. This listing is for exclusive use of all four rental properties- ideal for groups, clubs and families. Highlights are the stunning natural pool, a huge playground and walking and biking trails from your doorstep. The nearby village of Buis-les-Baronnies hosts a local market, restaurants, bars and year-round cultural activities. The space Renting out all four guesthouses at Alauzon is ideal for families, friends, clubs and other groups. There is something for everyone and for all ages here. We can accommodate up to 26 people in the guesthouses: - Grenier : 3 bedrooms, 10 beds, 2 bathrooms - Studio:1 double bed, 1 sofa bed, 1 bathroom - Poterie: 1 double bed, 1 floor mattress and 1 sofa bed, 1 bathroom - Bergerie: 3 bedrooms, 7 beds, 1 bathroom Additional camping (tent, van or RV) is possible for a fee. (5€ ppn) Summer 2025: We rent the property from Sunday to Sunday, please contact us for availability. There is a large kitchen and dining room where everyone can eat together indoors. There is also an outdoor kitchen, games area and picnic area to eat together outdoors. The pool area is great for groups- there is a large bar area, firepit a loft net and many hammocks to relax in the shade to the sound of running water. Have a dip in the natural swimming pond with dragonflies buzzing around the lilies. The pond is available for swimming from mid May to mid September. The hot tub (seats 8-10) is available year-round. This amenity needs to be reserved in advance- there is an additional fee of 100€ for one evening or 150€ for two evenings. We have three marked walking and 1 fun single-track mountain bike loop that start from the property as well as 2 orienteering courses. There are, of course, a number of other trails for biking and walking nearby that you can access from the property. Although we have no neighbours, we do live on site. If you are planning to have a party please let us know. There are speakers throughout the property and you are not permitted to bring your own sound system. Most of the year, if you can have the party outside by the pool or the outdoor kitchen area, playing music is not a problem. In winter, if you are using the dining room speakers, we will request quiet hours from 12am to 7am. At Alauzon we aim to use our natural resources as efficiently as possible. - Our water comes from our well and heated using solar panels. The wastewater is treated on site with a plant filtration system. - The heating and hot water comes from the sun and a pellet boiler. - Food waste is composted and used on site. - We have photovoltaic panels to provide some of our electricity, including for a dedicated solar powered EV charger. Our guests love the panoramic views from the property which make you feel like you’re alone in the middle of wilderness. The property is on 13 hectares within the Parc Naturel Regional des Baronnies Provencal and entirely surrounded by the Foret Domanial des Baronnies. We are particularly well suited for families (large playground, no roads) and sporty types (hiking, mountain and road biking, climbing, via ferrata). The closest village of note is Buis les Baronnies (10kms, 20 minutes drive) away. Guest access Our house, garden and polytunnel are private areas- please keep children and pets away from these spaces. Other things to note The water from our well is filtered but is not classed as drinking water. Cooking, washing, brushing teeth, etc. is fine. There is a potable water tap in the Grenier kitchen. A headtorch is very useful here as it gets very dark at night! Double check that your sat nav itinerary takes you to Buis les Baronnies and through Les Sias (we recommend setting this as a waypoint). You will need to drive up a gravel track for 1km. This is suitable for most cars- just drive slowly on the bumps.
