Magnolia House, Birthday Room

Walk into this house and say "Ahhhhhh. This is going to be a good visit." It is airy, light and beautiful. Thoughtfully arranged for real human beings. Comfortable. Inviting. Nestled in a classic Craftsman neighborhood, it is minutes from downtown by car, MAX or frequent close buses. It is an easy walk to grocery stores, great restaurants and the most comfortable bar in town. It is a convenient place for those attending events at the convention center and a single bus ride to PSU. The space I posted my covax in the photos. I hope that you are vaccinated, too. One of the things people appreciate is the thought we put into your convenience and enjoyment. You have full kitchen privileges with coffee, tea and oatmeal. The well-equipped kitchen has plenty of staples, spices and fresh fruit--plan on using those. Sensitive to scents and chemicals? We use unscented cleaning products, including pure castille soap and vinegar solution. Note: the feature of our house that gets the most rave reviews is probably our beautiful cat, Callie. This is good news for people who are cat-allergy-free. Guest access You are welcome in all parts of the first floor, garden and comfy porches and have access to the laundry room in the basement--and also the upstairs bathroom to shower as the downstairs one only has a bath. During your stay I would be glad to help with restaurant and museum ideas, transportation tips and anything else I can do to make your visit more fun and relaxing. Other things to note When we travel, we like homey airbnbs that don't look like motels or Ikea displays boxes. But we don't so much like the feeling that our hosts just stepped out and we are visiting right in their stuff. Magnolia house is, we think, the perfect balance. It is a home--loved, tended, unique, interesting and with all the things that we enjoy having at hand, from immersion blenders to laundry soap or bath salts.
