This charming 2-bedroom cottage sits in a very quiet spot, in a location very convenient to all of the great things there are to do in the Portland area. A fully stocked kitchen allows you to cook, or you can walk to numerous restaurants and stores. Newly remodeled throughout. This charming 1930's era cottage has been remodeled in 2016. Full kitchen, living room, dining area and private backyard. Original knotty-pine paneling on the walls and ceiling. Very private and quiet setting, with babbling brook behind. Listen to the birds sing and the owls hooting (quietly). Lovely, treed (and extremely safe) neighborhood offers walking access to coffee shops, grocery store, restaurants, and more. Twelve minutes into downtown Portland by car. Public bus also available. Visit Mt. Hood, the Columbia Gorge, Wine Country, the Oregon Coast, or Mt. St. Helens--all from your home base. Close to Lewis & Clark College and Reed College as well. Owner speaks German, French and Spanish and loves to chat with guests. Free travel and sightseeing advice too! And probably some warm cookies.... Queen bed in master bedroom, two twin beds in second bedroom. Washer/dryer, dishwasher, microwave, oven. Bathroom has tub/shower. We have a dog but she does not have access to the cottage area due to an invisible fence. **Please do not greet the dogs without us being present. Parking available for one car. There is a wide set of stairs from the parking area down to the front door of the cottage. While there is no handrail, there is a low wall that parallels the steps that can be used as support, as needed. I love to meet and greet my guests and make sure they know of all the great things there are to do in the area. I speak several languages (German, Spanish, French). A very green, quiet residential neighborhood that is close to downtown Portland (by car or bus) and has plenty of things within walking distance as well. Close to freeways, and there is a bus system as well. Walking is great in this neighborhood, and there are wilderness trails very close as well.
