Unique urban retreat eco cabin

Our beautiful hand crafted shepherd's hut is the ideal retreat for those who like the best of both worlds, located in the market town of Forres you would never know you are right in the centre of town, nestled at the bottom of our mature garden. The space The red caravan offers a cosy living space with wood burning stove, kitchen area and a comfy double mezzanine bed with two fold out chair beds. There is an outdoor compost toilet just a stones throw from the caravan door and a hot outdoor bush shower and bush bath/ hot tub. Included in the space is a veranda, a secluded patio area for barbecues or a small outdoor fire, there is also 2 large decking areas, one being fully undercover. The space has fantastic double windows which open up to a third of the width of the space and lead on to a decking area where you can relax under the apple tree and watch the garden birds or look out on to the beautiful garden. There is electricity in the cabin that is provided by a solar panel. Our unique outdoor hot tub is a wood fired cast iron bath and you can bathe outdoors all night long in the rain or in the snow or watching the stars. If you're lucky you might even see the aurora borealis..the northern lights! Guest access Guests have their own private access from the town centre car park, where you can also park for free for the duration of your stay. Guests have access to the cabin, patio, decking area and garden area beyond the apple trees. Other things to note It is important to note that unfortunately the accommodation is not suitable for guests in wheelchairs as the mezzanine bed is accessed via a ladder and the toilet has some steps, so normal levels of agility are required. We have a dog (Ruby) which we will try to keep out of your way during your stay, (unless you would like her to visit). It's important that the gate is kept shut at all times as ruby is quite keen on looking for opportunities to steal food!
