Boutique cottage in lovely Lakeland valley

Our luxury detached Lakeland cottage in the village of Lorton sits in a hidden gem of a valley and is a year round destination . Two beautiful bedrooms one of which can turn into single beds and each with their own bathrooms offers flexibility for both couples and families. We have a well equipped cooks kitchen with Everhot range and a stocked larder. Parking for three cars , EV charger , bike storage , gardens and a BBQ this is a great base to enjoy the magic of our Lakeland valley. The space Come and relax inside with two living rooms both with wood burning stoves and an endless supply of free logs or download a favourite movie on our 55inch OLED TV. A fully equipped cooks kitchen with luxury Everhot range, full size dishwasher and a larder full of all the kitchen essentials means you don’t have to bring everything with you. The dining room is spacious to entertain in or to use as a workspace with your laptop. One bedroom has a 5ft kingsize bed the other also has a kingsize bed but this is a split and link so can be made into two single beds at your request. The beds are dressed with Egyptian cotton bed linen , have electric blankets and have masses of storage . Luxury bathrooms both with power showers , underfloor heating and heated towel rails with super soft Christy towels. The front garden has a patio with seating and coffee table while the back garden has a dining table and chairs where you can enjoy the sun. We have a charcoal BBQ and the fuel is all included . We have secure bike storage for four bikes . There is dedicated parking for three cars . You also have access to our 22acres of farmland next door to walk in our wildflower meadows and wood . Guest access Our cottage has its own dedicated parking for up to three cars located just off the main drive. It has an EV charger. Overnight charging is included in your stay. The village of Lorton with its own village shop is just a few minutes walk away while Cockermouth is less than a ten minute drive where you will find artisan food shops , supermarkets and great places to eat and drink. Mountains and Lakes are all around - we have three lakes all with 15mins and you can walk the fells directly from the cottage. There are so many things to do locally, we can advise you on how to get the most out of your stay before or when you arrive with us. Other things to note In the village we have Lorton Village Shop which sells a fantastic range of locally sourced foods plus great take out coffees and ice creams . Our local pub The Wheatsheaf has a large garden and serves food and local ales . Both of these are 10 minutes walk from the cottage . We are only 30 minutes from Penrith mainline station where there is car hire available.
