Nestled in the 1.65 acre grounds of a magnificent Georgian Old Rectory with sweeping lawns and stunning gardens, the Old Stables is within a 20 mile radius of Bath, Salisbury, Longleat, Marlborough, is 20 minutes drive from Stonehenge and on the edge of Salisbury Plain with its beautiful walks and cycle rides. Add to this a huge open plan living space, 2 beautiful bedrooms, underfloor heating throughout and exquisite decor, it's the perfect place to relax or work from home. The space Living space Is a huge beautiful open plan kitchen, dining and sitting room with magnificent oak trusses in the ceiling opening on to the patio garden.The kitchen is equipped with everything you could possibly need including a big farmhouse dining table and plenty of chairs for guests . All the natural stone floors are underfloor heated as they are throughout the entire property. The sitting area is cosy and comfy with a huge sofa, two armchairs, coffee table, piano and a faux electric woodburner. Bedroom 1 Has the option of a huge luxury superking bed or twin beds often described in reviews as the most comfortable bed guests have ever slept in. There are high beamed ceilings, french doors to the patio and three skylights in the roof making the room lovely and light by day but with electric black out blinds for a really good night's sleep. Other furniture includes an incredibly comfortable hanging chair, chest of drawers, hanging rail and a table and chairs making it perfect for those working from home if their partner is working at the kitchen table. Bedroom 2 Also has high ceilings and French doors to the patio and is furnished with identical super comfy beds as bedroom 1. They can be twin or super king and are often described as the most comfortable bed people have ever slept in! There is a wardrobe and two chests of drawers plus bench in this room. Wet room The wet room has underfloor heating, beautiful stone tiled floors and walls and a heated towel rail complete with White Company fluffy towels. Outside The patio just outside the property is equipped with a large comfy L shaped sofa, matching coffee table, an oak dining table and chairs along with a parasol in summer. There is also a barbecue for guests' use. The patio leads to the stunning 1.65 acre garden belonging to the main house which guests are also encouraged to use, the more people who share it the more worth while gardening is! There are lots of pretty flowers in summer and quiet places to sit and read or you can find the perfect spot to have a drink and watch the sun go down. Parking There is ample parking for two cars outside the property. Guest access The Old Stables is a separate property from the main house with its own front door and parking for two cars right outside the door. There is a key safe so you can relax about arriving late or leaving early. One dog is welcome but must be kept on a lead in our garden however there are lovely walks straight out of our gate up onto Salisbury Plain where dogs can run off the lead for miles and miles! Other things to note The Old Stables and Old Rectory are up a quiet lane near the beautiful 13th Century St Peter's Church. There is plenty of parking right outside the property and as it is all on ground floor level with wide doors The Old Stables is suitable for the elderly and has some disabled access, please message if you would like more details of door widths etc.
