Description
Tinker Street Retreat | Historic 1756 Farmhouse in the Heart of Woodstock STR Permit #22H-259 A 1756 Dutch apple farm’s main house reimagined as a soulful escape for artists, musicians, and dreamers. Original touches and smart additions. A music room, sweet kitchen, gorgeous riverstone shower, and full size home theater await. Outside: hammocks, wild meadows, bonfire, and stream. A place where sound lingers, books whisper, and time forgets its name. The space The house is walking distance to "downtown" This house has a heartbeat. Built in 1756, its beams carry the weight of centuries, creaking softly like an old song. Inside, the walls hum with warmth and memory: a music room lined with well-loved instruments, a 150" projector screen for flickering dreams, and a chef’s kitchen where morning light lingers on copper and stone. The riverstone bathroom invites slow rituals — steam, stillness, silence. Books spill from shelves like moss from trees. Every corner invites pause: a chair by the fire, a sunbeam on the floor, the quiet breath of the forest just beyond the glass. Step outside and time dissolves. Hammocks sway between trees. A stream murmurs through the brush. At night, the firepit crackles in the meadow, beneath stars so close you’ll feel their pull. This is a place for wandering minds, full hearts, and sound that echoes long after you’ve gone. Though it feels worlds away, Tinker Street Retreat sits just beyond the heart of Woodstock — a village long beloved by artists, rebels, and wanderers. Walk ten quiet minutes to cafés, record stores, and galleries tucked among the trees. Hear live music drift from porches and theaters. Hike the Overlook Mountain trail, swim in hidden streams, or simply sit with a coffee as the world drifts by. This is the Woodstock you’ve heard whispered about — still humming, still wild. Guest access The house is yours, fully and completely. Drift through every room, open every book, play every note. Light the fire, steep in the bath, cook something slow. Outside, you’re free to roam: the meadow, the forest, the hammocks, the stream. Follow the trails until they disappear. Listen for owls. Sit in the garden until dusk turns to stars. This isn’t just a place to stay — it’s a place to arrive, again and again. Other things to note This is an old house — she hums, she creaks, she remembers. Expect charm, quirks, and the kind of stillness that modern walls forget. The home theater is set up with Roku for movies or Bluetooth for your favorite music. Winters are cozy, but layered — wool socks or slippers recommended in the Fall or Winter We welcome you to relax, tune in, and let the house meet you where you are.
