Podere Biagio | Rural Tuscan farmhouse with pool

Podere Biagio is the typical Tuscan farmhouse. It has a large panoramic garden with a beautiful landscape and a private pool. The garden has numerous shade areas to relax and a large pergola with a dining table. This is an excellent place for having lunch or dinner with a view over the Montepulciano valley. The farmhouse is located in Valdichiana, the south of Tuscany, between the towns of Cortona and Montepulciano. In this particular part of Tuscany there are some famous winemakers. The space The estate has two buildings; the main villa and an independent cottage. The central villa has five bedrooms and five bathrooms. The cottage has two more bedrooms. The ground floor of the central villa has a spacious, elegant living room with separate kitchen and dining room. The five bedrooms are all on the first floor. All windows are equipped with mosquito blinds. The cottage is situated at just a few meters from the villa, within the private garden. It has two bedrooms, a living room, a kitchen and a bathroom. Although the cottage lies on the estate itself, it is completely independent and therefore useful for those in need of extra privacy within a group. The garden of the villa offers an extreme and unobstructed view of the Valdichiana valley up to the town of Montepulciano. The private pool is a highlight, as well as the large gazebo with dining table. At the pool you can use a small changing room with a shower. The pool has a sun terrace with sun beds and umbrellas. Guest access This area is the so-called Valdichiana, in southeastern Tuscany. This is an agricultural triangle, roughly between Arezzo, Cortona, Montepulciano and Siena. In addition to those cities themselves, you can combine different activities in a day trip: - Lake Trasimeno for a day on/on the water - Pienza/Montepulciano/Val d'Orcia - Perugia/Assisi - San Gimignano/Siena The Autostrada A1 and Siena-Perugia highways ensure that travel times are shorter compared to other parts of Tuscany. Florence is easily accessible by train for a day trip, which prevents parking and driving in the city. You could even take the Eurostar from Arezzo for a day trip to Rome, a 70-minute journey. Other things to note We are the neighbours of the small-scaled wine farm named Cantine Faralli. They often organize a wine tasting or a traditional Tuscan dinner.
