Our original to the town adobe style miner's cabin, built in 1900, will take you back in time with its scenic mountain views and breathtaking night sky. The interior of the cabin has been carefully restored using a historic color palate, craftsman-style furniture, antiques and decor. Situated just a block away from Tombstone Brewery and only two blocks from historic Allen Street - walk to the best Tombstone shopping, saloons and attractions, then kick back on our porch and relax. Built right off the Good Enough Silver mine (with the old mine shaft in the backyard to prove it), you'll be within walking distance of some of the best attractions this National Historic Landmark has to offer. We invite you to slow down on our property, pause to breathe in the fresh air, appreciate sweeping mountain views, the desert foliage, amazing star filled skies and nightly wildlife encounters. We strive for comfort and authenticity inside our little adobe - using a historically accurate color palate, antique and upcycled furnishings, premium linens, local soaps, candles, and room sprays - Some of the furnishings and the kitchen counters were even made from wood and materials found on our property, we know you will fall in love with the details. Tombstone is known for its amazing year-round climate, even in summer months - you will enjoy the breeze coming through the open windows, the sound of birds in the morning and coyotes at night. Our home is fully-furnished with almost anything you will need for a comfortable stay including extra linens and towels, coffee maker, a fully-equipped kitchen and more - we go the extra mile because we live here and your comfort is just as important as ours! You will be welcome to the entirety of the home, which is free standing and has no shared walls. Lounge in our backyard overlooking the Sierra Mountain range and view the landscape and sunset from our side yard as well. The only thing to keep in mind is that the back and side yard may be shared by either my family or other guests staying in the bunkhouse. I love to show guests around personally and share any tips I may have for the area when I am in Tombstone, but because I split my time between here and New Orleans, I am not always able. For times I am not physically around, I am always just a phone call or text away for offering recommendations or responding to any inquiry that may arise. We live on the edge of Tombstone's historic district on a row of old miner's cabins and adobes. To the west is Tombstone grocery (now a private family residence) and on the east stands the old adobe once owned and loved by famous western painter Margret Reid. The current owner is named A.J., a longstanding Tombstone resident who may offer to give tours of this old adobe and tell you stories of the famous painter. Within walking distance is all that Tombstone has to offer including the OK Corral, the Bird Cage Theatre, a number of restaurants, saloons and shops. My favorite saloon is Four Deuces; if Eileen is working tell her I sent you! Your next gunfight, theatrical reenactment or social libation is just a casual walk away from making your stay. You are welcome to park out front of the house and you can probably leave your car for the entirety of your stay because you will be able to walk almost anywhere you need to go! If you are traveling with your pet, we welcome them! Because of the extreme lengths we take to clean and sanitize all surfaces, especially soft surfaces within the house following a pet stay, a one-time $50 fee for pets will be requested via the resolution center upon check in. Pets must be crated (we have a crate for you to use for small/medium pets!) when you are away from the house and kept off of furniture. If there is a pet mess (urine, poo, or an excessive amount of fur on furniture) photos will be taken and sent to you and Airbnb and a minimum of $100 fee will be requested.
