Oakhill Ponds -Romantic Walled Garden Yurt Hot Tub

Step into your own secret walled garden: a spacious yurt with log burner, private hot tub under the stars, and access to our spring-fed ponds (often described by guests as lakes). Guests call it “magical” and “an oasis.” Swim in the ponds, book the sauna, stroll to the Oakhill Inn for a cosy meal, or cook together in your hand-crafted outdoor kitchen. Peaceful, private, and designed for romance. The space The walked garden is a private space full of lovely touches and hidden corners — restful, romantic, and created with care. At its heart is a hand-crafted 21ft yurt with a king-size bed, sofa, dining table, and wood-burning stove. A separate garden room provides a second quiet space for reading, yoga, or sleep. Outside, enjoy a private terrace with wood-fired hot tub, firepit, and hand-built outdoor kitchen. Modern comforts include a monsoon shower, two flushing loos, and even an indoor kitchenette. During your stay, you’ll have access to our spring-fed ponds — and 25 acres of nature-rich land - 2 ponds cover an acre of shimmering water where guests swim, paddle-board, or simply sit and watch the kingfisher. For deeper relaxation, you can book our wood-fired sauna (guests say it’s “a must”). The Walled Garden is just minutes from excellent local pubs and close to Bruton, Bath, Frome , The Newt, , Glastonbury, the Mendip Hills and Somerset Levels. But most guests never want to leave. There’s a private off-road parking space a short walk from the garden gate. The wider 25-acre retreat at Oakhill Ponds may be shared with up to 12 other guests staying elsewhere on the land. You’re welcome to explore the main site each afternoon between 1pm and 5pm. Please note: while families with young children are very welcome, the ponds and surrounding land are not suitable for little ones to run freely due to deep water and unguarded edges. Supervision is essential at all times. Other things to note You’ll have exclusive use of the Walled Garden, including the yurt, garden room, hot tub, and all facilities during your stay. Guests are welcome to access the wider 25-acre site daily. During weekend mornings, a small group of local swimmers (including ourselves) use the spring-fed ponds—if you'd like to join, just check in with us, it's usually at 8am and 10am. You'ld be very welcome. We do allow small and medium sized well-behaved dogs in the walled garden but please note they need to be on lead when on the wider site due to the deer family and other wildlife.
