Welcome to De Brus Hoose a modern apartment which sleeps 5, situated in the heart of the Heritage Quarter in Dunfermline. Once the ancient capital of Scotland, Dunfermline was recently awarded city status again. It is a short commute to the capital Edinburgh. Our property has the most unique views of the iconic Dunfermline Abbey, the burial place of Scottish Kings and Queens, and where the tomb of Robert the Bruce can be seen. De Brus Hoose offers the ideal location to explore Scotland from. The space The main living and kitchen space offer open plan, loft style living. The south facing location means whatever the season the sunlight floods into the apartment. The spacious room has 4 large windows offering unique views across some of the most important historic buildings in our Scottish history. The heritage quarter where our apartment is located is a vibrant area with a mix of culture, history, independent shops, cafes and green space. The apartment looks directly on to the oldest building in Dunfermline, Abbot House, this important historic building has recently been restored to a very high level and houses a beautiful gift shop stocking gifts from local artisans and creatives. The other part of Abbot House is the home to a fantastic cafe, Prost, enjoy some of their food and drinks in the most unique setting looking onto Dunfermline Abbey. A must visit! Our living/kitchen space is the perfect space to congregate with family, friends for eating, cooking or just chilling and admiring our incredible views after a day sightseeing. A large entrance hallway offers access to our scandi style bathroom with a walk in power shower. The master bedroom has a king sized bed, further along the hall the second bedroom has a double bed. There is a sofa bed in the living area for the 5th person. Guest access There is parking on the street the apartment is on. This is hourly parking during peak times of Monday - Saturday 9am - 5pm. (We would advise downloading the RinGGo parking app if you want to park during these times here). Outwith these hours you can park on the street for free. There is a 24 hour car park a short 3 minute walk from the apartment this is called St Margaret’s Street Car Park. You can also park for free in the Pittencrieff Park car park on 128 Pittencrieff St, Dunfermline KY12 8AN. This is a 10 minute walk from the apartment and is a lovely route to the apartment.
