Franschhoek peace & quiet | Riverstone Cottage

Riverstone Cottage is a gorgeous, spacious, self-contained cottage with a patio bordering a vast meadow garden, and magnificent views of the Franschhoek valley mountains. The former stables have been converted into two cottages with a shared patio, which, have been furnished with an emphasis on simplicity and nature. This is the perfect space to get away from city noise and find some inner peace, and great for business travelers and couples. Easy stroll to the village shops and restaurants The space The cottage kitchen is equipped with fridge, oven, hot plate, microwave, kettle, toaster, and the necessary plates, cutlery and utensils for hassle-free cooking and dining-in if you choose not to go to one of the award-winning restaurants within walking distance. There is complimentary tea, filter coffee and plunger, and herbal teas. The bedroom has a queen sized bed, large duvets, and an abundance of comfy pillows. Fluffy throws will keep you warm in winter, as well as a heater for extra comfort. The en-suite bathroom has a shower. The lounge area has a comfy two-seater couch and a large sleeper on which to put your feet up and relax as you enjoy the spectacular mountain views. Both the lounge and the bedroom open on to the wide patio and private meadow garden. The patio outside has an outdoor table and chairs and loungers on which you can relax while you watch the pink light from the sunsets illuminate the mountains. The cottage has wi-fi, but does not have tv, in the hope that our guests will use the time to get away from the screens and find peaceful rest and restoration in nature. Guest access Take a short walk to the lake and watch the myriad bird life, or picnic on the lawn in the meadow garden, with a selection of pates, cheeses, wine, and freshly baked french bread from the nearby food stores. Sip a glass of something cold and watch the moon rise over the mountains, or be like an artist, and marvel at the mountains bathed in pink light as the sun sets.
