York Harbor is full of "turn of the Century " cottages built in the late 19th & early 20tieth century. The Harbor was summer home to many from New York & Philadelphia. These summer residents were responsible for insisting on strict zoning laws, some of the first in Maine, in order to preserve the unique charm and character of the Harbor. The Harbor has a few restaurants within a short walk from our home & others less than a mile away. There is no public transportation in the Harbor. York is an historical New England town.
