This apartment above our garage has a rustic, eclectic decor. It is attached to our historic home by a breezeway of which provides private entry to a separate accommodation for its guests. We sit on 2 acres bordering Minges Creek which is a short canoe ride to Kitty Hawk Bay. We open our doors to offer a private, peaceful retreat for your OBX vacation on a quiet creek 1 mile from the ocean. The space Our property is located in the quaint village of Kitty Hawk. The apartment offers 2 bedrooms (queen & full) separated by a full bath. It has a living room w/half bath, and a kitchenette with full size refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave and portable pressurized/conventional oven & portable 2 burners. Facility offers Wi-Fi, DVD player, and a smart TV where one can log in to one's HULU, Amazon, or Netflix account. It is 1 mile from KH public beach access w/ full bath house and a life-guarded beach. Additionally, we are conveniently located within a 5 mile radius of classic OBX restaurants, putt-putt, churches, skate park, state park, grocery stores... check us out on Google. Guest access There is a foyer with two chairs and a table at the point of entry providing a bird's eye view of the back yard where occasionally one may see deer or other wildlife. There is access to a shared washer/dryer mud room for guests of longer stays, if needed. Outside offers a fire pit along the creek where one can put out a canoe or kayak. Other things to note Biking and running enthusiasts can join the user friendly road to explore trails that run along the sound, into woods, quiet neighborhoods, and all the way to the Wright Brother's Monument without accessing the busy 158 highway bypass. If you are a water person, pack your kayak or canoe to enjoy access from the property to the sound.
