SPLEASE NOTE: FOR MANY YEARS, WE HAVE ONLY RENTED THIS SPACE OUT BY THE MONTH OR TWO/THREE/MORE. This is the minimum amount of time that we can do this, per local rules. The space A delightful haven for you and a loved one (or overflow for holiday guests), this island-flavored artists' nook is a perfect hideaway. Sink into the generous clawfoot tub (shower too), light the candles and sip a glass of wine. Cook a romantic alfresco meal in the kitchen/dining room. The oversized log bed (queen) begs to be stretched out in with a good book. We are a 100% Smoke-free property as well. All the fun and ease of living in beautiful downtown Ojai, sans responsibilities! Steps from the Farmers Market, all downtown shops and Italian fine or casual dining, Chinese, sushi, Thai, Mexican, sandwiches, old and new-style American food, Rainbow Bridge (healthy groceries and ready-made food if you don't feel like using the kitchen), Close to several local watering holes, Sushi and tequila bars, plus The Vine and Casa Barrancas' tasting room)....you name it, and you can get to it in a two-minute walk. Ojai was recently featured in Vogue as a wonderful Shangri-La as well. Quiet street, family neighborhood, close to local hiking trails, tennis courts (home to the famous 100+ year old "The Ojai" tennis tournament, or just bring your racquets and have fun) Golfer? Hop on the Ojai Trolley for $0.50! We are minutes from Soule Park. Yoga enthusiasts will delight in making the one-minute walk to the famous Lulu Bandhas' studio, just down the street. Easy street parking, sunny small fenced yard. There is one very sweet dog that is in his own section of the yard separated from the studio. Need something special? Our guests are blessed to be in the middle of downtown Ojai - Here are a few highlights: Check out "A Taste Of Ojai" on Vimeo We see our guests from time to time if we are home, so our interaction is basically on the guests' terms :) We are in the middle of EVERYTHING! We are literally the middle of all the downtown maps (sometimes I have to open them extra-wide to find our street) and we have very friendly neighbors. The Ojai Trolley ($1) has two stops within a block from the house and the Gold Coast Vista bus ($1.75 for adults) stops two blocks away, in case you would like to go to/from Ventura or the train station there. Enjoy yourselves! Relax, park the car and leave it there for your whole stay! Let us know if you have any questions! Kitchen, own bath, short walk to downtown, or lounge around on your own. We enjoy visiting but respect your privacy :) There are animals on the property (small dog, lazy kitty and crazy kitty, and the chickens who will share eggs with you & eat your food scraps!) DOG OWNERS; your dog needs to get along with everyone. We work from home and while barking is part of life, it needs to be managed. Please scoop your poops and bag em and put them in the trash. Reactive/strong prey drive dogs not suggested as we have chickens and cats. Downtown Ojai is a great place to live and we have a friendly, family oriented, creative neighborhood. We are steps from both the Ojai Trolley and the Gold Coast Bus (and you can transfer from one to the other if you ask for a transfer ticket) as well as taxis, etc. Or rent bikes from the Mob shop!
