Villa Sublime is a luxe boutique villa set on 1 acre and located in Unawatuna, on the south-west coast of Sri Lanka. It is a hidden oasis offering a convenient locale, yet complete seclusion amidst swaying coconut palms and lush tropical gardens. It’s the perfect retreat for you to unwind from hectic city life. We promise serenity and rejuvenation of your body, mind and soul. The space The villa is ideal for solo travellers, couples or small groups. You may book a stay in any one of the bedrooms or for the entire villa. Whichever option you choose, the sweet serenity of Villa Sublime will undoubtedly ‘seduce your senses’. Architecturally designed and built to suit the tropical climate, the villa offers 3 spacious bedrooms each in a separate section of the villa allowing complete privacy. Open verandahs, sloped roofs, high ceilings, overhanging eaves, skylights and glassless windows create a sense of openness whilst maximising natural ventilation and airflow. The villa’s interior design and décor is unique yet simple and stylish. A blend of contemporary and exquisite antique furniture pieces creates a rustic ambience. The Family Bungalow is tucked away from the other bedrooms affording you complete privacy. It has a private verandah overlooking the villa’s lush tropical gardens and its own tea/ coffee making facilities. It features 2 separate sleeping areas and a cute little nook for kicking back with a good book or cup of fine Sri Lankan tea. All the standard creature comforts are offered whilst finer details have also been carefully considered; a large King bed, smaller Double bed, cute indoor sitting area, ensuite bathroom, rain shower with electric hot water, soft cotton bed linen, plush bath towels, ceiling fans, mosquito nets, a wardrobe, room safe, mini fridge, filtered drinking water, complimentary Wi-Fi and a small library of books and games. This bungalow is ideal for 3 adults. The gentle rhythm of the surrounding jungle and our lush tropical gardens will not only enchant you but captivate you. Together they produce a wildlife paradise at Villa Sublime. You will relish the variety of visiting exotic creatures including monkeys, squirrels, peacocks, kingfishers, woodpeckers, flycatchers, oriental magpies, flying fish, water monitors, frogs, fireflies, turtles and the occasional porcupine! As the sun slowly disappears behind the coconut palms, the alfresco dining pavilion overlooking the shimmering fresh water swimming pool is the perfect spot to watch the bats fly by, the stars and fireflies light up the night sky and enjoy a traditional rice and curry meal. Guest access Guests have access to the beautiful gardens, swimming pool, main verandah dining and sitting areas, poolside dining pavilion, ambalamas, library and carport. During your stay Whilst we would love the opportunity to meet ALL our guests, we spend our time drifting in and out of Sri Lanka due to work commitments and having adult children living in Australia. However, when staying in Sri Lanka, we endeavour to strike a nice balance between interacting with our guests and extending privacy to our guests. Regardless of where we are, we remain contactable at any time via phone call, message or email. Our friendly staff will be on hand to attend to all your needs and assist you throughout your stay. Our night watchman will ensure you have that added sense of comfort and security overnight.
