Studio by the Shore

Welcome to our open concept studio space above detached garage. Private side entrance and deck and firepot, sleeps 3, steps away from Lake Huron sandy shore and beautiful sunsets. We are located at the base of the Bruce Peninsula in North Oliphant at Sandy Bay - popular area for kiteboarders and kayakers. During July, & August we require minimum 3 night bookings during weekdays, or 2 night minimums on weekends. (Long weekends 3 nights) The space The studio has an open concept sitting area with TV (Netflix available), kitchenette - dishes and cookware/toaster over/induction burner/bar fridge/electric kettle/coffee maker/microwave/blender (tea towels/dishcloth/dish soap provided), queen loft bed and twin bed (pillows, sheets and blankets provided), 3 piece bathroom with shower (we provide bath mat, hand towels, hand soap, hairdryer, bath towels (Beach towels and toiletries not provided), Wifi, hot water rad heating, parking available for 2 cars, clothesline and outdoor hooks for drying clothes and equipment. There is a chimnea firepot on side deck for a small campfire (kindling fits best into firepot - not provided) Smoking and pets are NOT permitted. No events or parties please. We do have backyard hens, you may hear them laying when laying. Guest access The studio rental space is located above our detached garage and is completely separate from our home. Because studio is above our garage guests must be able to climb stairs, not wheelchair accessible. There is a private deck that faces a cedar forest for you to use and chimnea firepot (please bring own store bought kindling). There is room for your 2 cars to be parked in our driveway which we would share with you. Other things to note The studio is on a septic system so no garbage or feminine products are to be flushed down the drain. Also studio is on filtered well water, if you are not used to well water you may notice a well water scent sometimes. The studio is a winterized space for colder months and we welcome snowmobilers and nordic skiiers. We are located 5 minutes away from Sauble Beach Cross Country Ski trails, and 20 minutes away from Hepworth Sawmill Ski Trails. Oliphant is located along the Bruce Peninsula Touring route on the Grey Bruce snowmobile trails. During spring, summer, and fall Oliphant welcomes kayakers, canoers, kiteboarders, and cyclers. Oliphant is located on the Ontario by bike "Coast 2 Coast" 65km trail loop. Wiarton is 11kms away with Bruce Trail access.
