My wife and I have a spacious, historic family home built around the late 1800's in the village of Northport on M22, a block away from the marina. It has 4 upstairs bedrooms numbered 1-4 due to a previous life in the 1950’s as Northport’s local hospital. Two of the rooms are currently available separately, each with a private bathroom down the hall or downstairs off the study. We live downstairs with our cat, Picasso, who stays near us but occasionally loves to say hello to our Airbnb guests! The space Two guests can comfortably sleep in room #1 which has a double (54 inches wide x 75 inches long) bed, fresh towels and linens. They also have private and exclusive access to the bathroom just off the study which is located at the bottom of the staircase. (The guests in room #2 have private and exclusive access to the bathroom upstairs.) We are unable to accommodate families with babies and children due to limited space, stairs and balconies on the second floor. Each room can only comfortably sleep two people and if you have more than 2 people coming, please feel free to book an additional room at The Big House, such as #2. If it is not available, our brother and his wife own the Wauban Cottage Inn just a few blocks away and you could possibly book a room there! Guests are one to two blocks from the beach, marina, grocery store, restaurants, breweries, farmers market and many other events that take place on various weekends in Northport. Guest access There is a study and living room downstairs that all guests share. Look for some freshly baked scones and muffins there in the morning! Coffee to-go is also provided as you venture down to the village, beach, marina and farmers market. During your stay When you book a room we will send you information so that you can easily access our home. If you have any questions, we also give you our contact numbers to get ahold of us at any time. Our daughter lives here with us but the house is so big that you may not see us that often! Other things to note Because our home was built over 100 years ago, the heating upstairs is a separate zone heated with radiators and, unlike the downstairs which is run with a separate furnace, you cannot adjust your room's temperature. There are no cooling vents upstairs so please feel free to turn on the ceiling fan or open a window in your room.
