Cottage in Saltspring Island

Our cottage is located on Sweetwater Farm nestled in the Cranberry Valley. Private and secluded, adjoining our 40 acres with south-west exposures and valley views. Relaxing and peaceful location on a quiet no-through road. Perfect getaway for couples and families. Located near walking trails; Mt. Erskine out your back door & Mt. Maxwell around the corner. Our cottage only 7 minute drive from the main village of Ganges and all amenities. Pet restrictions read below. The space We provide breakfast essentials. Complimentary high speed internet. For your comfort and a good night's sleep we offer top of the line mattresses and eco-friendly silky soft bamboo sheets. Guest access Sweetwater Retreat has it's own private driveway, parking and yard. We do ask that guests refrain from walking the other private areas of the property. Other things to note Pets; One dog 35 pound max. allowed with pre-approval at time of booking. $25 per stay fee. Dogs not permitted on any of the furnishings. Dogs must be in their crate if you must leave him/her behind in the cottage. If we agree to you having your pet in our Cottage, please know we are trusting that you accept and will follow these restrictions. Sorry no cats. When we are in extreme rating for fires throughout our province and on Salt Spring, fires will not permitted, inclusive of the indoor fireplace. Absolutely no smoking indoors or outdoors. We are in a rural location, no street lights. We recommend you bring a flashlight/torch for those lovely summer evening strolls. Our spring water has a reputation of tasting amazing hence the name Sweetwater Farm. Drinking water is available right from the tap! Please note landscaping is in progress but will not impact your stay. Tip: If you have wifi calling option on your phone turned on you will be able to receive and make phone calls and send and receive text messages. Directions from Fulford - head toward Ganges. 15 minutes drive, turn left on Cranberry Rd. Continue for 5 min and you will come to a 90 degree turn, go right on Toynbee, gravel road for approx. 1 mile and you will come to 325 Toynbee Rd. on your right. Directions from Long Harbour - head toward Ganges, go through town toward Fulford - approx. 10 min. will come to Cranberry, turn right. Continue for 5 min and you will come to a 90 degree turn, go right on Toynbee, gravel road for approx. 1 mile and you will come to 325 Toynbee Rd. on your right. Directions from Vesuvius - directions toward Ganges, go through town and follow same as above. Be sure to drop by the farm distillery Sweetwater Distilling Co. - down the road at 360 Toynbee Rd. Our cottage is very bright being southwest facing and we do not have drapes or blinds as it is very private, and is our preference to have a very clean look to our cottage. I recommend that you bring eye pillows if this may be an issue for any sensitive sleepers, or if you might need to darken some area of a room for your infant that you bring portable blackout curtains (Amazon) that are attached to the glass of the window.
