My place is appx. 60 miles south of Marfa near the Rio Grande, with views of the Chinati and Sierra Madre mountains. Being in the middle of the desert insects are the dominant species, we have pest control come out regularly but learning to co-exist with them is helpful. Also be aware - IMPORTANT for those with pets and small children, many species of snakes live here, including rattlesnakes and other venomous reptiles, appearing especially at and after sunset. Other creatures of note are javelina and coyote, both are known to attack dogs and cats. Guest access The back building with 2 bedrooms and queen size beds is available for an additional fee, please inquire. Other things to note If my work schedule allows I can be available but do not count on it. Reading all the house rules and adhering to them is important, if you need to be waited on and have someone on call to answer all questions/needs, then this is not the place for you.
