Description
A family home by a river, sheltered by a park of old trees. An old house, with old furniture, paintings and carpets. It offers guests three bedrooms, the main one suitable for a couple, and the other two for one person. Pets are welcome. Breakfast, simple, is provided. The space The bedrooms are contiguous. They are located on the ground floor and have independent access. The furniture is old but the bedding is new. In the large bedroom, the alcove cupboards are occupied by a shower, sink and toilet, common to the three rooms. Guest access Access to the village is via Exit 5 of the A31 highway (Til-Chatel). You can also get there through Dijon (40 km east of this city) and Langres (30 km). The GPS takes you to the other end of the street, behind the church. Follow it to the right-angled bend and look for a white wrought iron gate on the left. The entrance to the park is immediately after. During your stay Guy lives in the house all year round, with his three dogs and his cat. It provides you with all the useful information about the area and its many natural and historical interests. A two-day stay is advisable to visit the castles of Champlitte (and its museum), Rozières, Fontaine-Française ( during the summer), the neighboring Commanderie of Romagna, the villages of Montsaugeon and Bèze (one of the most beautiful villages in France), the town of Langres ( 30km from St Maurice), Lac de Villegusien, the caves of Bèze. Other things to note The simplicity of the house is not synonymous with rusticity. It meets the ordinary needs of a guest. There are restaurants within a radius of about ten km. Meal reservations can be made by the Host.
