We are an hour and a half from Asheville and Blowing Rock, 45 minutes from Lake Lure and Chimney Rock. 35 mins. from the Charlotte airport. The Battle of Kings Mountain was the turning point in the Revolutionary War. There are two books available so you can read about the history of the battle plus you can visit the National Military park while you're in the area which is only minutes from our house.
