Pettirosso, a cosy nest in the Chianti countryside between Siena and San Gimignano Rondine is located on the first floor of a traditional Tuscan country house at Podere Oliveta, surrounded by olive trees and vineyards. From the reserved parking area, you reach the entrance via a short path and an external staircase with just a few steps, leading to a small balcony with a table and chairs. The space Balcony and private garden with barbecue At the entrance, the balcony is the perfect spot for breakfast outdoors or a glass of wine in the evening. On the garden level, you’ll find your own private green area , bordered by hedges and equipped with table, chairs, sun loungers and an exclusive barbecue – an ideal place to read, relax, enjoy the sunset or organise a grilled dinner under the stars. Cosy interiors and small work corner Inside, the living room with fully equipped kitchen is compact yet functional, with everything you need to prepare simple meals. The double bedroom is bright and quiet, with a small desk corner that works well for remote working or writing. The bathroom with shower and washing machine is practical and well organised, making Rondine suitable both for short stays and longer holidays. The apartment accommodates 2 people only : there is no sofa bed or extra beds. Shared garden, pool and small events In addition to their private garden, guests can access the large shared garden and the communal pool with sun loungers and umbrellas, perfect for cooling off on hot days or enjoying cooler evenings. At certain times of the year, in the late afternoon, we organise small events by the pool with fresh drinks and local bites made with local products – a relaxed way to enjoy the sunset over the hills. Podere Oliveta is a small oasis of peace: we kindly ask guests to respect quiet hours, especially in the evening and at night. Timed anti-mosquito system The entire Podere Oliveta estate – including all 5 apartments and outdoor shared areas, pool included – is equipped with a timed anti-mosquito system that automatically nebulises a specific outdoor product designed to significantly reduce mosquitoes and insects during the most critical hours. It’s a discreet but very real advantage when spending time outdoors in the countryside. Heating use In the season when heating is required, the cost will be charged directly on site based on actual consumption, and photos of the meter readings will be shown before and after. This way you only pay for what you really use, with full transparency. Pool opening period: May 1 – September 30. . City Tax: The tourist tax is not due.
