MUST BE 25 AND OVER UNLESS CHILDREN OF GUESTS I bought this building in 1996 and completely rebuilt and renovated it in 2003. It's a special building with a lot of history - the famed 8BC club used to be here. It's surrounded by three community gardens on each side so there are no direct neighbors. It’s truly a lush oasis in the city (and quiet as well!) - a very unique sanctuary in an exceptionally special spot. The house itself is spectacular - the design is striking and the glass atriums throughout the house ensure the house is bathed in light during the day. Two of the four bedrooms have balconies with sliding doors so you can step out and look down into the living room and kitchen; and two of the bedrooms also have their own private outdoor patios with views of the city (from the top bedroom outdoor patio you can see the top of the Empire State building). The master suite has a king sized bed, tv, private bathroom with jacuzzi and both inside balcony and outside balcony which looks out onto the patio garden and community gardens. The second master bedroom is equally spacious and has a large private patio, queen size bed, private bathroom and TV. The children's room has bunk beds. It shares a bathroom with an additional bedroom which has a closet, desk, and queen size bed. The living room has a dining room table that seats 8 and the large couch in front of the fireplace and tv seats just as many. The kitchen has top of the line appliances including a brand new 6 burner Wolf stove. The backyard garden patio has seating for 8 at the table, plus additional chairs, a BBQ and a fire pit. In the kitchen either sit at one of the 5 bar stools or have breakfast at the 50's style banquette that seats 5. I have two boys (now in college) so the house is child friendly and full of games and children's books. However NOT SAFE FOR TODDLERS (places to climb and fall). The house is cooled with central air. There are also ceiling fans in every room. In the Winter you can cozy up in front of the fireplace. This is my primary home so please be respectful and expect to see some personal items/knick knacks etc. The house sleeps 8 max. ABSOLUTELY NO PARTIES ALLOWED. Guest access Guests will have access to the entire house - roof deck, kitchen, appliances, coffee machine, pots, dishes, washer, dryer, fireplace, stereo, patio grill, towels, sheets, hairdryer and iron; as well as the tomatoes, peppers and herbs in the garden in the Spring and Summer.
