Centrally located 10 minutes from the intersection of i-90 and i-43. Distances from chicago 1-1/2 hour, Milwaukee 1-1/2 hour, Madison 45 minutes, Rockford 25 minutes. Whole apartment with walkout deck overlooking the Rock River. Apartment has its own entrance and is nestled on a wooded lot on a ridge next to river with boat dock. Bring your own boat or hire host as a boat and driver based on availability. The river directly in front of apartment is good for fishing and water sports, skiing, etc The space Kitchen has utensils for you to make your own food. Apartment is attached to our home but has all separate entrance and locked from rest of house. We work out of our home doing bookbinding but are usually available if you have any questions. This is excellent location to be your destination to relax in the woods, sit by the river. Kayak, canoe, bird watch, water ski, swim, campfire, moon light cruise. Or good base to go exploring the areas bike trails, farmers market (states 2nd largest only 5 minutes away), breweries, etc. Guest access You will have access to your whole apartment that can be seen on inside photos but not to our attached home. You do have your own private outside deck that is surrounded by woods and vacant wooded lot. You will also have access to fireplace patio that overlooks the river. As well as access to the boat dock and river itself. We do have a friendly Austrailan shepherd. Other things to note Since our house is built into a hill, there are steps outside down to the apartment. If needed there are inside steps and chairlift from the top garage to the apartment. Also there are approximately 100 steps down to the river. The apartment has its own forced air furnace. But the airconditioning is part of our whole house. There is one air conditioning vent in the main living space and the bedroom has its owns portable ac unit that you can set to whatever you want. There is also a ceiling fan in bedroom and dining area.
