The Bison Suite at Caprock Canyons

Visiting Caprock Canyons State Park, Quitaque, Turkey, or friends/family in the area? Looking for a place to stay after a long day of hiking, biking, hunting, horseback riding, or exploring, without having to drive 1+ hours to the nearest accommodation? Come stay in the Bison Suite, located just minutes from Caprock Canyons. This vacation rental is part of a historic homestead built in 1925, updated in the 90's, but still retaining the historic charm and decor from almost 100 years ago. The space This two-bedroom/one-bath apartment can sleep eight people. Bedroom #1 has a queen bed, and Bedroom #2 is a bunk room with two sets of twin over full bunks. There is an ensuite bathroom, with a shower, sink, and toilet. This apartment has its own spacious living room with a fold-out sofa, loveseat, and big-screen Roku TV. Guests have access to a fully-equipped, shared kitchen. Outside there is a gas grill available to guests. Note: The kitchen is a shared space when the other apartment is occupied. Linens and towels are included. Guests are provided complimentary coffee at the coffee bar in the kitchen, as well as light snacks. Located on ten acres, two miles from the state park and one mile from the quaint town of Quitaque, guests are free to sit out on the front porch, walk the property, and enjoy the peace, quiet, and views of the surrounding areas. --------------- Note: This is one of two apartments in the same house, but it has its own entrance and is separated by a locked door. The kitchen is a shared space when the other apartment is occupied. The owners occasionally stay on-site in the unrenovated apartment in the back part of the house. Guest access Feel free to roam the property and use the common sitting spaces and grill on north side of the building.
