Other things to note From October 1, 2024, the municipality of Funchal will require local accommodation hosts (AL) to charge and remit the tourist tax. The fee is €2 per night and up to a maximum of 7 consecutive nights, per person and per night. The maximum amount to be paid per guest is €14 (up to a maximum of 7 consecutive nights). ⚠️ Important Note: The swimming pool is a shared condominium facility and may be temporarily closed due to maintenance, technical issues, or adverse weather conditions. This situation is entirely beyond the accommodation’s management control. As an alternative, guests have free access to the Frente MarFunchal card, which grants entry to several nearby seaside complexes, including Ponta Gorda, Lido, Barreirinha and Doca do Cavacas.
