This is a private hot-spring inn located in Oyu Onsen, Kanzaki City, Akita Prefecture, south of Lake Towada, on land where traces of the peaceful life of the Jomon period remain. The old ryokan building has been renovated into an artistic space. We welcome you with "hospitality" from the owner and his wife, and we rent the entire building.(Availability on Airbnb is limited) All bedding and amenities are organic. There is only one hot spring bath, which is a semi-open-air family bath.It is a famous and historic onsen.Please enjoy the hot spring, which is fed directly from the source spring, at your leisure. Also, please enjoy your stay in the countryside, including going to the outdoor hot springs and the restaurants in the city. Meals can be prepared for an additional fee. Example: Delivery of local dishes (such as kiritanpo hot pot) made by a local mom in the neighborhood Please make a reservation in advance if you wish. Due to the nature of the building and the surrounding environment, there may be insects such as beetles in the building and indoors, so please be aware before booking if you are not comfortable with them. Guest access The entire building will be rented out, but if you do not have a meal reservation, you will not be allowed to enter the dining area on the 1st floor. There is a simple kitchenette for guests on the 2nd floor. The owner occasionally comes and goes on the premises to maintain the hot spring (temperature control and cleaning). In addition, there will be entry and exit to the building for on-site inspections and cleaning between 10 am and 4 pm. Other things to note ・ A natural wine specialty shop run by the owner is a 3-minute walk from the inn.You can bring this wine to the accommodation and enjoy it. ・ In 2026, the convenience store that I had been able to walk to closed.You will need a car to go shopping.Please be mindful. - Convenience store (FamilyMart): 1.4 km - Convenience store (7-Eleven): 5.9 km - Supermarket (Universe): 6 km - Shopping center (Itoku): 12.7 km ・ The kitchenette in the living room on the second floor of the facility is only for light cooking.
