The Cosy Cabin at Old Glanrhyd Stables is nestled at the base of the Afon Tarrell Valley in the Beautiful Brecon Beacons National Park. Within walking distance of the infamous Pen-y-Fan, our Glamping Cabin is situated in a tranquil setting with a meandering stream, paddock and small wooded area – all for you to enjoy. Complete with in-suite shower with eco/composting toilet, washing up station, BBQ fire-pit, 3 very friendly sheep and 3 greedy horses . Follow us on social @oldglanrhydgetaways_ The space COVID-19 UPDATE - Your safety (and ours) is paramount and you can be assured that the cabin will be thoroughly cleaned and sanitised before your arrival. The cosy cabin comes complete with a comfortable double bed (accommodates two), a TV with a whole host of DVD's for you to enjoy and an assortment of board games, magazines and books – please note the cabin is off-grid so there is no wifi. We encourage you to retreat and recharge in nature during your stay here. Inside is well equipped with a small table top oven and two ring hob, toaster, kettle, fridge, pots and pans etc. for cooking, and a dining table with two chairs. Outside there is ample space to relax and explore. And after a day adventuring a spot of cooking over the fire-pit is the ideal way to unwind. There is also a path that leads down to an additional sitting area with a second fire-pit with direct access to the stream – perfect to cool down in on a hot summers day. You'll also have the opportunity to get to know our three lovely Horses, Biggles, Sundae and Poppy and feed our very friendly sheep Stacey and Neil – who very much love the attention. In the heart of the Brecon Beacons, this space is perfect for unwinding and escaping the hustle and bustle of 21st century living. P.S. There is no TV signal and mobile phone coverage is intermittent. Guest access The Cosy Cabin is located on our four–acre smallholding at the end of the stable block (separated by a gate/fence). Directly outside the Cabin there is a seating area with fire-pit, and a path that leads down to an additional sitting area with a second fire-pit with direct access to the stream – perfect to cool down in on a hot summers day. Please note guests are prohibited from entering fields/stable yard . Other things to note Well behaved dogs are welcome (charge applies) but need to be kept on lead due to livestock on and around the property. Guests need to be aware that this is a Glamping Cabin and not connected to the main sewerage system. We have an eco/composting toilet that works very well and will give you instructions on how to use on arrival. Hot Shower, cold tap only in bathroom. Outside tap for washing up station.
