The Barn at Kurrajong Barn & Cottages is a unique style of rural accommodation with wi-fi, perfect for family re-unions, celebrations and weekend getaways! Centrally located in the heart of the Granite Belt Wine region@ Ballandean, 3 mins walk from the pub and winery. The Barn has 4 bedrooms plus 1 open loft bedroom. Total guests allowed is 10. Once a fruit processing barn, it was lovingly restored and transformed into what it is today, rustic and charming country accommodation. State of the art tank water filtration system. Our rates are for up to 10 guests, however, Infants under 2 are not counted as 1 guest. **Vintage caravan accommodates 11th/12th (small double bed) guest at $100 per night. Vintage Van shares a bathroom with our Peppertree and Loft bedrooms in the barn. **No Air Conditioning Teabags, Espressotoria coffee machine, sugar, salt, pepper, oil provided. A 5 minute walk takes you to the village of Ballandean, with great coffee, a tavern and bakery, and general store selling fuel also. Please take note of our bedding configuration which cannot be changed. For more than 10 guests we have a vintage van for an extra charge. Also noteworthy, The Loft room situated above the Peppertree room cannot be closed off, due to the nature of a Loft. The floor is timber construction with carpet, so can be creaky. Also note, the Birdsong twin room adjoins the D'vine views queen room with a dividing wall and doors, however they don't have ceilings to eliminate noise from both rooms. The Barn has a soaring ceiling which is why we have chosen to retain the beauty of the height of it. Closed in February as it’s not aircond. booking on request only. Guest information provided in-house. Small wedding enquiries welcome. Up to 2 extra guests can be selected on the booking page and will be accommodated in our Vintage Caravan. Guest access The whole space and outdoor area is for our guests. The master suite has a private 1st floor balcony. You may also walk the property, however, respect other guests who may be staying in the Blue Wren Cottage or Kookaburra Cottage, and the wildlife. Parking is at the front gravelled area. Vehicles not to be driven off the gravelled areas as grass can be wet and boggy. Other things to note It is highly recommended that you come to Ballandean via Stanthorpe along Eukey Rd should you wish to take a more scenic route. It is 21 minutes. Please respect the local wildlife. You may encounter wild deer, kangaroos, fox, rabbits, many many birds and on rare occasions, snakes in the summer months. Keep a safe distance.
