Le Manoir du Bois Mignon is a stunning stone house built in 1791, nestled in a hamlet between the banks of the Dordogne River and views over vineyard and forest. Situated in the Bergerac wine appellation between the medieval bastide of Ste Foy la Grande and Le Fleix. Offering 4 luxurious suites and spacious guest salons together with a stunning pool and romantic grounds in which to relax and soak up the French summer sunshine and we would be delighted to welcome you to our beautiful home. The space Le Manoir is a truly magnificent and unique property which has been lovingly restored over the past 5 years. Featuring a wealth of original period features including large open fireplaces, exposed beams, marble floors and exposed stone walls typical of the area. All guest suites are equipped to a very high standard and feature all modern conveniences including super king sized beds, luxury bed linen, large walk in showers, heated towel rails and luxury toiletries. Outside the mature grounds extend to two acres with centuries old trees offering shade and ample space to relax and unwind. There are several terraces with seating areas with pretty views over the surrounding vineyards, forest and the Dordogne River. The pool area has sun all day long and is well equipped with luxury sunloungers and seating areas. A waterfall feature provides a relaxing ambience and large pool towels are provided. Guest access Ample parking for guest cars is available behind secure gates on a large gravel driveway. Guests are welcome to explore the grounds at leisure and have unlimited use of the pool area, numerous sunny terraces and a courtyard filled with roses and hydrangeas makes the perfect spot for an afternoon aperitif. Inside the guest spaces include a large and comfortable guest salon with doors opening on to a large terrace where you can read, have a drink, play a game or just sit. A stunning stone dining room where breakfast and evening meals can be taken. The galleried entrance hall with comfy seating is a cool and inviting space away from the heat of the summer sun. Downstairs there is also a guest WC. Each of our suits have their own key and you will also have a key to the front door allowing you to come and go at your leisure. Other things to note At Le Manoir we offer a delicious continental breakfast with a wide selection of fresh local produce including, pastries, breads, cereals, jams, honey, charcuterie, cheeses, yogurt, seasonal fruit, juices, tea and coffee. Complimentary tea and coffee is available throughout the day in the Guest Salon and bottled water is provided in all suites. We are able to provide table d'hote (evening dinner) by prior arrangement, so please book to avoid disappointment. Table d'hote is made using excellent fresh local and seasonal produce and includes matched wines. We are also able to provide a delicious picnic for you to take on a day out , please give 24 hours notice. We also offer BBQ and a selection of platters to enjoy by the pool. If you are celebrating a special occasion, looking to treat yourself to a massage, take an art class, for us to book you a tour at a local vineyard or anything else that we can help with then please mention this when booking.
